Game Changer
Kobe changed the basketball shoe game forever when he introduced the Kobe 4, a low-top featherweight masterpiece that focused on speed and incredible court feel. The 8 takes the best of the best from the Kobe 4, 5, 6 and 7 low-tops and combines them into what some consider his crown jewel.
Soft Upper
When the Kobe 8 was originally released in December 2012, we used engineered mesh in the minimalist basketball shoe, which was a 1st in company history. The engineered mesh in the upper is soft and pliable, wrapping around your foot and conforming to its shape.
Cut and Move
Herringbone traction on the forefoot and side of the heel gives you that sharp, squeaky grip you can hear when making hard moves and cuts. It’s located where your foot is normally planted, giving you a secure grip. The diamond-shaped tread running along the outsole looks a lot like a Mamba snake's head.
Absorb Impact
The drop-in thick, full-length foam in the midsole helps absorb impact so you can enjoy every step of the game.
Hard plastic in the heel offers a secure fit, ensuring no slippage inside the shoe.
Faux-shank gives the look of the adult Kobe shoe with the flexibility your feet need.
Tongue is padded in the center, so you tighten your laces as much as possible without feeling pinched or constrained.

• Free Return Shipping: If your return is due to a defect, damage, or an error on our part, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you.
